A Sanctuary from Persecution

Asylum and humanitarian protection are important pathways for those who cannot return to their home countries due to a well-founded fear of persecution. This fear can stem from a variety of factors, including race, religion, nationality, membership in a particular social group, or political opinion.

We recognize the profound trauma that often accompanies these experiences and are dedicated to providing a safe and supportive environment where your story can be heard and your rights fiercely protected.

Reach out to us today and let’s discuss your options.

The Asylum Application Process

Our experienced team will be with you every step of the way during the asylum process.

Generally, the process includes:

  • Filing Form I-589 (Application for Asylum and Withholding of Removal):
This is the initial step where you provide detailed information about your asylum claim. We prepare this application on your behalf, ensuring all necessary documentation and supporting evidence are included.
  • Asylum Interview:
Most applicants undergo an interview with an Asylum Officer. We thoroughly prepare you for this interview, helping you feel confident and ready to present your case. When possible, we accompany you for added support.
  • Decision and Potential Further Proceedings:
After your interview, a decision will be made. If asylum is not granted at this stage, your case may be referred to an Immigration Judge for further review, where we will continue to represent you with dedication.

Important:
If you are already in removal proceedings, a defensive asylum application must be filed directly with an Immigration Judge, rather than through the Asylum Office. We provide full legal representation for both affirmative and defensive asylum cases.

Throughout the entire process, our focus is on building a strong, compelling case that clearly demonstrates your eligibility for protection. We work diligently to gather relevant evidence, prepare detailed declarations, and provide strategic legal analysis to support your claim.
